Welcome to the Bix Jazz Virtual Fest presented by the Bix Beiderbecke Memorial Society!
Bix Beiderbecke was an influential jazz soloist in the 1920s originally from Davenport, IA. The Bix Beiderbecke Memorial Society is a 501c Non-profit founded in 1971 to promote and perpetuate Bix's contribution to jazz music. We do that through facilitating performances of jazz music annually through our festival and also through our Bix Youth Band, a scholarship program that teaches young musicians about the music of Bix's era through practice and performance of jazz music.
