Birdies For Charity Fundraiser 2024

Thanks to your continued support, the Bix Museum reached over 3,000 people in 2023 despite an 8-month closure from flooding as we took the opportunity to bring the museum to the community during the closures. This was 1,000 more than in previous years, and your support in 2023 made it possible for us to bring artifacts from the collection out for the public to see during concerts, tabling events, and public talks while they could not physically visit the museum. With the museum open again, 2024 is filling with more tours and community programs than ever before as we celebrate the Centennial of Bix’s first recordings!

The museum is in the early stages of finding a new home for our exhibit to avoid future flooding which requires capital for renovations and moving. This summer, we are unveiling a new walking tour of all the Bix Sites in Davenport. We are also working on new projects to better care for and catalog our artifacts during the transition. As we work hard to continue improving your experience with the museum, whether online or in-person, consider pledging for our 2024 Birdies campaign, which goes until July 5th!


Your gift, paid through the Birdies for Charity program, will earn an extra 5-10% for the museum. 100% of every pledge for the Bix Museum goes to us. Please have all pledges delivered to the Bix Museum no later than Monday, July 1st, or directly to the Birdies for Charity office at 15623 Coaltown Rd., East Moline, IL 61244 by Friday, July 5th. The Birdies Charity Challenge

To celebrate 30 years of Birdies for Charity, the John Deere Classic is introducing the Charity Challenge! You can now buy your John Deere Classic tickets AND support your favorite charity! Tickets are on sale now. You will need to select us from the drop-down menu. There are multiple ticket types at different price points available. Parking is included in the price of all tickets. We will receive $10 for each ticket, no matter the type. The remaining proceeds will go directly to the Bonus Fund! It is truly a charity ticket.

You can purchase tickets through May 31. To support the competition & share the love, the John Deere Classic will donate $1,000 to the charity with the most tickets sold! Ticket funds can’t be submitted through Birdies for Charity to qualify for the bonus match.
